Hyperloop er

Elon Musk, billionaire entrepreneur, has a deal called the Hyperloop.  It is a concept train Elon Musk says will commute passengers from Los Angeles to San Francisco in half an hour, opposed to three hours driving or six hours waiting then flying.
Musk, who is the creative genius behind Telsa Motors, PayPal and SpaceX, described the fast train "a cross between a Concorde and a railgun and an air hockey table."
Musk also has innovative ideas as to how 2013ers currently visualize rapid-transit systems. Built, up and running, the Hyperloop will depart when passengers have loaded the train to its max NOT running on a strict schedule like a choo-choo or a subway or a Mag-Lev. (1) The train, weather immune, like Mag-Lev might not please people who still relish bad weather and heavy traffic.  Lunatics! Who needs bad weather and blurred scenery!

Unlike Mag-Lev, ordinary people may ride and the system costs BILLIONS not Trillions from a black budget from black sources and robbing taxpayers. Maglev, composite from mag netic lev itation, trains are becoming a popular transportation mode world-wide.  Electromagnetic suspension, the most popular type of maglev, is utilised in several countries.  Maglev trains differ from conventional train in that maglev trains lack an engine. The propulsion system for maglev trains is rather inconspicuous in that instead of using coal or deisel fuel, the magnetic field from the electrified coils in the guideway walls create a unified field to move the entire train.(2)
One is in Japan, the Yamanashi Line, Red China, the Shanghai Maglev, French or Frog TGV and the secret one in the US, not for the plebs. Victorian science fiction writer, Jules Verne wrote in 1895 of a "bullet train" (2) but it took the subterreine to make it a reality to be enjoyed by a few lucky scientists and their friends or cronys.
Abandoned maglev projects include a Swiss project and three from the home of Transrapid, Germany.(3)
Perhaps, Elon Musk, secretly hopes a powerful socialist will drop his plans for a fast California conventional train that would make unions exstatic.  Instead Americans could fuse a link built into a prexisting maglev underground to make the connection of two cities for about half what the boondoggle surface conventional train will cost and say "the elves" did it.  Some people would actually believe him and ask who are these elves and why are they NOT UNIONIZED!

However important people-mover Maglev intercity passenger applications, or as a lower-speed system for urban transit are, the hemongusly HUGE market for freight transportation in the US is intercity trucking. The United States presently spends over $300 billion per year on intercity trucking, versus only $65 billion per year on intercity air passengers. The largest intercity air passenger route, Los Angeles to and from New York, has only about 10,000 passengers on a daily basis, while many U.S. Interstate highways carry 15,000 trucks/day, with some highways handling over 25,000 trucks/day. A Maglev intercity route carrying 2,000 trucks per day only 20 percent or less of the daily traffic, would capitalize as much profit as a route carrying 100,000 passengers daily, which is roughly 10 times greater than the largest intercity air passenger market in the United States.(4)
